Developing Faith - Summer 2021

At St. Peter's we are passionate about learning and developing our faith together.

It can feel a little daunting to come along to a bible study or a course so this summer we thought we would put on a few different sessions to give people a bit of a taster.

Each session will last for an hour with a chance to stay for coffee and a chat afterwards if you would like.

Exploring Prayer

This session will consist of several different prayer ideas / focuses which you will do at your leisure. There will be an opening prayer said by one of the session leaders and then 4 approximately 10 minute prayer focused activites for you to do quietly. There may be some reflective music played to mark the end of each 10 minutes. if you are deeply engaged in one activity you are free to continue that. The session is very relaxed.

This is suitable for anyone over 12. Under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Bible Study: Daniel

This session will consist of bible reading and discussion based on that reading. There will be prompts to help you focus discussion in a small group.

Hymns - background of the hymn and its writer and a chance to listen to the music

This session will explore some background on the writer of a few hymns and a chance to listen to them and reflect on the worlds.

Psalms - explore and discuss

This will be a chance to explore the meaning within a couple of the psalms. There will be a chance to discuss in small groups.
